Abstract

1377875 Stabilizing multinutrient fertilizers VEBA-CHEMIE AG 6 April 1972 [8 April 1971] 15977/72 Heading C1B A method of treating a multi-nutrient fertilizer, liable to exothermic decomposition and comprising ammonium nitrate, dicalcium-phosphate and a chloride (e.g. KCI), comprises (a) adding to the fertilizer ammonium sulphate in amounts of from 3 to 25% by weight, and (b) adding mono- or di-ammonium phosphate to the fertilizer to provide a proportion of watersoluble phosphate in relation to the total phosphate content of from 30 to 70% by weight. The multi-nutrient fertilizer may be of the types 13/13/21 and 15/15/15.
