Abstract

1377600 Projection printing BERTHOLD FOTOTYPE GmbH 18 May 1973 [19 May 1972] 23730/73 Heading G2A A platform 1 for supporting photo-sensitive material and movable in first and second mutually perpendicular directions is capable of being driven in the first direction by friction wheels 9 and 10 which are part of a drive assembly capable of being driven in the second direction. Platform 1 comprises a tray 2 and base-plate 3 slideable in the first direction on a drive assembly plate 4 slideable in the second direction on a guide bar 27 of a stationary guide member 26. Drive assembly plate 4 has a guide bar 5, Fig. 1, situated in a groove 6 in platform base-plate 3 and slide blocks 22 and 23, Fig. 2, connected by a bolt 28 slideable in a longitudinal slot in stationary guide member 26. Friction wheels 9 and 10 (in driving contact with the lower surface of base-plate 3) are driven by an inner shaft 13 and the drive assembly is driven by an outer hollow externally threaded shaft 14 (capable of rotary but not longitudinal movement with respect to the assembly) mating with a nut 15 connected to a stationary frame member 16.
