Abstract

1377383 Pressure-sensitive adhesive laminate IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 21 June 1972 [30 July 1971] 35972/71 Heading B5N [Also in Division C3] A transfer laminate is used to obtain paper coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. A vegetable parchment is coated with a conventional polysiloxane release composition to which has been added a silicone resin consisting of units (a) R 3 SiO 0À5 , (b) SiO 2 , and (c) R 2 HSiO 1À5 , RHSiO and/or HSiO 1À5 , in which R represents a hydrocarbon radical and the ratios of (a) + (c): (b) and (a) : (c) are 0À6-1À5 : 1 and 1-50 :1 respectively (see Division C3); a solution of rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied to the coated paper and dried; a facing paper is applied to the adhesive layer; on separation of the papers the adhesive is transferred.
