Abstract
1377372 Electronic timepieces L C C BRUNET and R P P CORROYER 16 Nov 1971 [27 Sept 1971] 53150/71 Heading G3T [Also in Division H 1] An oscillator which may be used as a timebase in an electronic watch comprises a Piezo-electric bar 5 which carries at its one end a vibratory blade 1 and is fixed at its other end into a resilient vibration insulating block 9. The bar 5 is rectangular as shown and is insulated from the blade 1 by a sheath 6 to prevent short-circuiting. The other end of the bar 5 carries opposed electrodes (14) Fig. 4 (not shown) and 15 which are partially enclosed by the block 9 and are connected to a transistorized maintaining circuit. The block 9 is fastened in a support 12 which may be attached to a watch plate by holes 13. The bar 5 may alternatively be of square or octagonal section Figs. 5-8 (not shown) and provided with four or six electrodes.
