Abstract

1377043 Moving belt filter TSUKISHIMA KIKAI KK 15 Jan 1973 2060/73 Heading BID In an endless belt filter (Fig. 2, not shown) the edge portions 7, 8 of the belt are gripped by respective roller pairs 9, 10, which are angled to pull the edges apart, and deviations of the belt to left or right are detected by means 17 or 18 which then cause the angle of the appropriate roller pair to be adjusted by means 16 or 15 to pull the belt back to a central position. When the deviation has been corrected the appropriate roller pair is readjusted so that both roller pairs are equally inclined. Means 15, 16 are shown as pneumatic or hydraulic rams but could be electrically powered.
