Abstract

1376092 Drying racks D STEINBERG 2 Feb 1973 [3 Feb 1972] 5428/73 Heading A4U A drying rack comprises a tubular metal frame 10 formed from four identical U-shaped members 14 having their ends inter-connected and supporting flexible horizontal porous sheet members 12 suspended from the uprights of the frame. Each member 14 has one end formed as a spigot fitting into the other end of the adjacent member 14 to form pivotable joints 20 to facilitate folding of the rack for storage, Figs. 3 to 5 (not shown). The members 12 may be made from canvas but could be of any semi-absorbent fabric or be an open mesh, and they are suspended by tension springs 24 clipped into holes in the frame uprights.
