Abstract
1375956 Hydraulic transport; raising liquids ELECTROLUX AB 26 April 1973 [26 April 1972] 19903/73 Heading F1R In an hydraulic transport system in which the liquid is mixed with air and in which movement is achieved by creating a vacuum in the pipe-line, one or more collecting receptacles 10 are inserted in the pipe-line, e.g. before high rise portions, which receptacles have an outlet 12 connected to the downstream pipe-line 16, an inlet 11 connected to the upstream pipe-line 15 through a non-return valve 14, an outlet 13 connected by a pipe 18 controlled by a valve 19 to the pipe-line 16 and a connection 34 connectable to atmosphere under the control of a device 30. The device 30 also controls the valve 19 and is itself controlled by level sensing devices 21, 20. The operation is such that air separated from the liquid drawn into the receptacle 10 is discharged through the valve 19 to the pipe-line 16. Subsequently when the liquid level rises the valve 19 is closed and the receptacle is opened to atmosphere through the line 34 for onward transmission of the liquid which is mixed with air from the device 30 at point 36.
