Abstract

1373004 Display stands FILM & TELEVISION PRODUCTION SERVICES Ltd 27 April 1972 [2 March 1971] 5864/71 Heading A4T [Also in Division E2] A storage and display device for pre-recorded tape magazines comprises at least one compartment having an open region and adapted to receive a plurality of tape magazines such that a part of each magazine is accessible through the open region for handling, the or each compartment having a series of locating means adapted to be positioned between the magazines to locate them in a row, abutment means to prevent removal of any magazine, and locking means which can be released to allow movement between the abutment means and the compartment to remove the obstruction and allow a magazine to be removed. As shown in Fig.1, the compartments may be formed by drawers 4 arranged between partitions 2 carrying abutment means 3. The drawers are locked in position by lock 10, and may be drawn out of the arrangement upon unlocking. Alternatively, as shown in Fig.6, the compartments are shelves 26, and the abutment means are L-shaped bars 30 rotatable about a longitudinal axis. In either case, the individual tape magazines are supported between rods 27, and an alarm may be provided to indicate when the locking means is unlocked.
