Abstract

1372084 Cleaning electro-photographic drums CANON KK 26 Oct 1971 [4 Nov 1970] 49749/71 Heading G2H A resilient blade 2 for removing residual developer from a drum 1 has projections 2 located in grooves 3 at the edges of the drum to prevent removed developer from seeping past the blade. Preferably the blade is wetted with liquid e.g. by a spray head (10) Fig. 1 (not shown) connected to the developer liquid reservoir (12), or by rotating the blade into a liquid reservoir (33) Fig. 6 (not shown), or by moving the blade over a scraper (50) Fig. 9 (not shown) to a liquid impregnated pad (51).
