Abstract

1371634 Bearings RIV-SKF OFFICINE DI VILLAR PEROSA SpA 9 Dec 1971 [16 Dec 1970] 57321/71 Heading F2A The inner race ring 1 of a roller bearing is provided with ribs 6, 13 to limit the axial movement of the rollers, one such rib 13 being a separate ring located and retained on a seating surface 12 on the race ring solely by interengagement between the separate ring and the said seating surface. The surface 12 may be slightly frusto-conical. The mating surface 14 of the ring 13 may have circumferential scorings. The ring 13 is of metal or plastics, and may be thermally expanded prior to assembly; alternatively or additionally, the inner race ring may be cooled.
