Abstract
1371331 Corrugating tubes FLIGHT REFUELLING Ltd 22 Nov 1971 [24 Aug 1970] 40581/70 Heading B3E [Also in Division F2] A metal tube 1 is caused to undergo postelastic axial buckling by the application of an axial load in the direction of arrow A at a position displaced radially from the median 8 of the tube wall at at least one end thereof. The tube 1 has its ends located in end housings 2, 3 and to bring about the particular direction of loading the ends of the tubes are chamfered as at 4, 5, 6, 7 or as seen in Fig. 4 (not shown) the housings are provided with steps.
