1371210 Valves SHOKETSU KINZOKU KOGYO KK 25 Oct 1971 49524/71 Heading F2V In a 4-way valve having a spring-loaded spool 33 movable within a sleeve 35 by a solenoid coil 31 acting on a plunger 32, the ports 29, 26, 30 which govern the length of the stroke of the spool between valve open and closed position are made small in size while the ports 27, 28 which have no effect on the stroke are made large. The ports 26 are greater in number than the ports 27 but their combined area is less. The ports may be elongated.
