Abstract

1277036 Valves GAS COUNCIL 2 July 1969 33405/69 Heading F2V A valve comprises a valve member 16, 19 which is biased to one position e.g. to closed position by a spring 17 and movable to another position by a resetting member 21 adapted to be coupled electromagnetically to the valve member. The valve and reset members carry respective magnetizable elements 19, 20 surrounded by an energizing coil 23 around the valve body 18. To effect the coupling when energized, the reset member 21 is moved down against the force of a biasing spring (not shown). The valve returns to closed position when de-energized.
