Abstract

1369915 Moles HOYER-ELLEFSEN AS 3 Feb 1972 [5 Feb 1971 9 Feb 1971] 5132/72 Heading E1H A fixed or floating mole for forming a harbour, is made up of a base 1, spaced supporting framework elements 2', and breaking elements 4 or 4' extending between adjacent elements 2'. Either the elements 4 or 4' are designed to fail in heavy seas before the other parts forming the mole, or they are mounted so as to be pivoted (Fig. 3 not shown), slid (Fig. 4 not shown), or raised or lowered above or below the waves to prevent their being damaged in rough weather. The base 1 may be used as an oil storage tank.
