1369805 Magnetic sheet recorder RICOH KK 13 Oct 1971 [5 Nov 1970] 48755/73 Divided out of 1369802 Heading G5R The description is identical to part of that in the parent Specification 1,369,802, but the claims relate to the feature that the mechanism which has to be actuated so that the turntable brakes are applied when the head returns to its radially outermost position, can be actuated in any one of three ways. The mechanism in question is a spring 216, Figs. 15, 19, 20, mounted on a lever 212, which when actuated is moved to the position shown in Figs. 19, 20, in which position it is above the actuator 217a of a switch 217. In this position, when the head returns to its outermost position, the end 224a, Fig. 19, of a stop lever 224 runs along the spring and actuates the switch, which, in turn, causes the brakes to be applied and the drive to be removed. The lever 212 can be moved to its operative position in one of three ways; either a "reverse feed" key can be depressed which presses on the bottom left-hand projection of a slide 192, Fig. 15; or a "quick feed" key can be depressed which presses on the right-hand projection of the slide 192; or if the head reaches its innermost position and is automatically returned to its outermost position then the mechanism for effecting this also moves the end 53c of an actuating lever 53 so that as it rotates with the turntable it strikes the lever 212 via a spring 213.
