Abstract

1369086 Terminal boxes LEC REFRIGERATION Ltd 27 Nov 1972 [15 Dec 1971] 58181/71 Heading H2E A terminal box for making connections to a refrigerator motor-compressor unit comprises a plastics base 1 having screwed thereto four terminals 2, 3, 4, 5 and a double cable clamp 11 for securing incoming power and control cables. The base 1 is clipped on a support bracket 15 spot-welded to the motor-compressor unit 17 and having flanges 18 to protect a three-pin plug on the unit (not shown) which projects through an aperture in the base. The incoming wires are looped under washers 8 and the arms 9, 10 are used to'make further connections by means of snap-on connectors. A sub-assembly comprising a motor protection relay and three-pin socket is plugged on to the three-pin plug so as to rest against chamfered projections 27 and all parts are held in place by a cover 25 and a spring clip 24 which engages holes 22 in the bracket 15.
