1369036 Mine roof support stilts HOLYWELL METAL PRODUCTS Ltd 22 Nov 1972 [27 Nov 1971] 55166/71 Heading E1E A detachable mine roof support stilt comprises a I-section girder 3 clamped between a pair of support legs 1, 2 which are bolted to-gether with the interposition of a spacer 8, the one leg 2 having a base plate 7 adapted in use to fit under the plate 1 and to extend up to the projected line of the girder 3. The arrangement is such that when the girder 3 is fully yielded the support leg may be withdrawn for re-use.
