Abstract
1368475 Dyeing cellulose packages FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 19 Nov 1971 [20 Nov 1970] 53972/71 Addition to 1368128 Heading D1B Wound packages of cellulose yarn or sliver are impregnated with an aqueous liquor comprising an alkaline substance and one or more azo coupling components, injected with one or more weakly acidic aqueous solutions each comprising one or more reactive dyes, allowed to dwell at a temperature from room temperature to 60‹C followed by impregnating with an acidic liquor comprising one or more diazonium compounds each derived from an aromatic amine, the thus treated material being multi-coloured. Sodium hydroxide is used as alkaline material, the reactive dyes are preferably azo, phthalocyanine or anthraquinone dyes having a vinyl sulphonyl group or a group which forms such a group upon alkaline treatment. Non-ionic and anionic wetting agents may be employed in the first impregnation and injection processes. The dwelling time to fix the reactive dye is preferably 2 to 12 hours at 30 to 60‹C.
