Abstract

1368350 Opening a fibre mass B RUDLOFF 29 Dec 1972 [20 June 1972] 60089/72 Heading D1N A fibre opening device comprises a strip or cable 1 mounted at its ends, e.g. by springs 6, and a memlber 4 which serves to excite oscillations in the strip or cable 1. The oscillating strip or cable serves to separate fibres from the mass F and project them into a suction device which transports them to further textile machinery. The device also separates out foreign matter which falls away under gravity.
