Abstract

1367867 Coating apparatus ROTEWA BV 26 Feb 1973 [1 March 1972] 9415/73 Heading B2L [Also in Division El] Apparatus for applying a flowable material, e.g. concrete, asphalt or sand, to an underwater surface, e.g. a waterway bed, comprises a pouring tube 1b depending from a carrier structure 10 and having a filling hopper 7, the lower end of the tube being surrounded by at least one spaced sleeve 4a which is short compared with the tube, and enables an even thickness of material to be laid. The tube may be rigid or may have a flexible portion 1a. Hopper 7 is supported by wheels 9 on carrier 10, which is supported by wheels 13 on rails 14. Sleeves of different lengths may be provided, Fig. 1 (not shown), and may be adjustable longitudinally of the tube.
