Abstract
1366610 Friction clutches DAIKIN SEISAKUSHO KK 17 Nov 1972 [18 Jan 1972] 53258/72 Heading F2C In a friction clutch wherein a driven disc 10 is normally clamped between a driving flywheel 1 and a presser plate 5 by a diaphragm spring 7, ducts 15 through the flywheel 1 deliver cooling air to the space between the flywheel 1 and driven disc friction facing 11 during clutch disengagement. Fins 16 on the flywheel 1 direct air towards the ducts 15. The ducts 15 may be parallel to the clutch axis or may be inclined to the axis. During clutch disengagement the air pressure acting on the driven disc 10 moves the latter away from the flywheel 1.
