1365926 Coating apparatus ROSE FORGROVE Ltd 10 March 1972 [27 March 1971] 8725/71 Heading B2L [Also in Division Dl] Apparatus for applying a narrow band or line of adhesive adjacent one edge of a travelling sheet or web of flexible material, particularly paper, comprises a narrow disc formed with an adhesive applying periphery 19 which follows a circumferential path which varies in direction over a predetermined axial distance, and means such as a roller mounted in a gum bath for applying adhesive to the disc periphery. The coated web may be subsequently severed into blanks for folding about a former into the form of tubes.
