Abstract

1365842 Chopsticks E J ROLLBAND 20 Feb 1973 [1 Nov 1972] 8303/73 Heading A4A A chopstick assembly comprises two elongated stick members 11, 12, and a support plate 15 secured to the member 12 near one end thereof, pivot means in the form of a part-circular bearing 22 being provided on the plate and arranged to accept a pivot stand 20 fixed to the member 11. The plate 15 is firmly wedged by friction in a slot (14), Fig. 1 (not shown) in the member 12. The bearing 22 is formed by a cut-out including an extension 21. The plate may be tapered towards one end of the assembly and have a curved edge to accommodate a finger of a user. The member 11 is slotted to provide free pivotal movement thereof over the plate.
