Abstract

1365764 Nitrogenous fertilizer BAYER AG 18 Feb 1972 [19 Feb 1971] 7609/72 Heading C1B [Also in Division C3] A nitrogenous fertilizer consists of or comprises a cation exchanger in the form of a salt with a basic carbonic acid derivative containing at least two nitrogen groupings. Specified exchangers are sulphonated polystyrene crosslinked with divinyl benzene, polyacrylic acid cross-linked with divinyl benzene and inorganic zeolites. The carbonic acid derivative may be guanidine, diguanidine, guanyl urea, biuretdicyanamide, urazole, melamine, guanine or ammeline. The exchanger may also contain other cations (Ca, K, Mg, Fe, Mn) and may be admixed with other fertilizers, carriers or diluents (e.g. peat). Applications specified are as top dressing and in hydroponic cultivation.
