Abstract
Fertilizer compns. contng. (A) 20-80% ammonia nitrogen (based on total N)e.g. NH4 salt or urea (b) 20-80% nitrate nitrogen e.g. KNO3 or Ca(NO3)2 (c) phosphate (d) 1.0-20% (of total) of a nitification inhibitor e.g. N-2,6-dichlorophenyl succinamide acid 2-chloro-6-trichloromethylpyridine, dicyandiamide, zinc ethylenebisdithio- carbamate, 2,4,6-trichloroaniline, pentachlorophenyl, or thiourea, are esp. suitable for use in mountainous areas, and particularly for crops grown in water, e.g. rice.
