Abstract

1365378 Pressure testing radiators SOC GENERALE DE FONDERIE 12 Aug 1971 37999/71 Heading G1S A radiator 30 under pressure test is connected through valve 32 and filters 33 to an identical pressure tight "master" radiator 31 and to two identical fluid circuits 34, 35 comprising electrovalves 36 and cocks 37. In operation the circuits are fed with pressurized gas at about five bars through a filter 38 and a pressure reducer 39, the valves 32, 36 are opened to allow fluid to flow therethrough and fill the elements 30, 31 and a differential manometer 40. The valves 36 are then closed to stop fluid-flow and the manometer balanced through the open valve 32. The valve 32 is then also closed to stop fluid-flow therethrough and the manometer 40 read and related to elapsed time to give a measure of any leakage.
