Abstract

1364652 Wall or ceiling cladding W E SELKIN Ltd 9 Dec 1971 [29 April 1971] 12204/71 Addition to 1285040 Headings E1B and E1W A wall or ceiling cladding panel 1, is formed to be interengageable with other similar panels by providing it with a pair of lugs extending from a first planar portion 7 and forming a socket therebetween, and a stud 10 extending in the opposite direction from a second planar portion 2 which is parallel to the first planar portion. The stud is shaped like an arrow-head, and engages in the undercut socket formed by the triangular sectioned heads of the lugs. The right hand lug (as shown) is shorter than the other lug (in the direction of projection from planar portion 7), and the width of the socket formed between the lugs is greater than the width of the stud 10. Nails are hammered through slots (14) in the panels to secure them to a wall. Figs. 4-6 (not shown) illustrate other panels to be used with panels 1 to form a complete wall covering.
