1364358 Preparative chromatography RICHTER GEDEON VEGYESZETI GYAR RT 10 May 1972 [1 Oct 1971] 21889/72 Heading B1H A preparative thin-layer chromatographic process comprises passing into the centre of a disc-shaped adsorbent layer a controlled stream of the solution of the mixture of materials to be separated, passing into said centre a mobil phase at a rate corresponding to the capacity for eluant absorption of the adsorbent, and, after the adsorbent has been wetted sufficiently, removing the material components separated from each other in the form of rings together with the adsorbent. If the eluant is not the same as the original solvent, the adsorbent may be dried between adsorption and elution. The adsorbent may be contained in a Petri dish and solution or eluant supplied via a three-way cock.
