1363683 Pipe insulation; pipe joints ANVIL INDUSTRIES Inc 25 Oct 1971 49470/71 Headings F2G and F2P In a spigot 131 and socket 130 joined sectional pipe construction, each section of pipe 117 of P.V.C., asbestos cement or copper, is provided with an insulating jacket of foamed resin (e.g. polyurethane) in a casing 116 with sealed plastics end caps 125. The casing may be of plastics such as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, P.V.C. or polyvinyl ethylene and the inner and outer shells 119, 118 may be interconnected by an integral corrugated web 120. The space between the shells 118, 119 is filled with foamed polyurethane or cement. In an elbow construction, foam plastics (49, Fig. 2, not shown) reinforces a pipe elbow (47).
