Abstract

1363495 Practice projectile assemblies BOFORS AB 16 July 1971 [17 July 1970] 33634/71 Heading F3A An assembly to simulate a combat projectile on practice ranges of different lengths comprises a projectile body 7 having a forward end shape for greater air resistance than the combat projectile simulated, and at least two different nose portions 6 for attachment to the forward end of the body and shaped for different air resistances to provide desired ranges. The nose portions 6 may fracture along lines 10 on impact. The projectile may be fired without a nose portion being fitted.
