1363027 Enzyme compositions SOC GENERALE DE RECHERCHES D'APPLICATIONS SCIENTIFIQUES 20 Sept 1972 [23 Sept 1971] 43616/72 Heading C3H [Also in Division A5] Particles of an enzyme for use as a medicament are coated with a hydrophobic polyethylene glycol or ester of glycerol with a fatty acid by forming a homogeneous suspension of particulate enzyme in a molten mass of the hydrophobic substance and atomizing the suspension under pressure into air below the melting point of the hydrophobic substance so as to produce particles having a diameter of from 50 to 1000 microns. The enzyme may be a lipase, a pancreatic amylase, a ribo- or deoxyribonuclease, elastase or lyophilized pancreas.
