Abstract

1362686 Rotary positive-displacement machines CHESHIRE SOFTWARE Ltd 20 Oct 1972 [20 July 1971] 33861/71 Heading F1F A pump, or motor, has a main rotor 110 carrying planetary rotors 130a, 130b, 130c furnished with recesses 132a, 132b, 132c that allow them to pass radial stator-walls 126, 128 between inlet and outlet ports 122a, 122b, 124a, 124b, the planetary rotors being coupled to the main rotor so as to revolve in the opposite direction and slip relative to the stator surface 116. A second embodiment, Fig.3, is an I.C. engine in which the walls 126, 128 are replaced by walls 222, 224 with concave sides matching the paths 127a, 127b Fig.1 of the recess edges. Each recess has at each axial end a portion 246a with a curved wall and at the centre a deeper portion 246b with a flat base and sides to form a combustion chamber into which fuel is injected through a port 250, air being inducted through a port 230. Ignition is effected by a spark plug 252 and exhaust gases are ejected at a port 232.
