Abstract

1361900 Depositing samples SHANDON SOUTHERN INSTRUMENTS Ltd 13 Dec 1972 [21 Dec 1971] 57584/72 Heading B1H [Also in Division Gl] In apparatus for depositing quantities of liquid which include a plurality of syringes mounted in a row above an assembly including an intermediate table arranged to be raised and lowered and carrying a plate table arranged to be moved horizontally with respect to the intermediate table, the assembly carries a removable cassette of sample containers. As shown, a series of syringes 27 is mounted above plate table 9 mounted on intermediate table 4 movable as aforesaid. A cassette 10 contains three rows of containers: the first row are waste receivers to receive the remains of previous samples the second are rinsing solutions and the third contain fresh samples; they are presented to the row of syringes in that order. and the fresh samples may then be deposited by the syringes on a chromatographic plate or strip placed on the plate table.
