136,084. Ellis, L. M. May 2, 1919. Roller bearings.-A cage for roller beari n g s comprises a sleeve 2 flanged at 7, 8 and formed with holes 3 to receive the rollers. Spigots 6, either pointed or rectangular, engage recesses 9 in the ends of the rollers. The spigots do not act as pivots when the bearing is running, but merely allow the cage and rollers to be handled as a unit. To insert a roller in the cage, a rectangular spigot is bent to one side and then straightened so as to enter the recess 9 in the roller. A flange 12 is formed at one end of the inner race 11.
