136,041. Glazebrook, Sir R. T., and Fage, A. Feb. 22, 1919. Anemometers.-In a hot-wire anemometer, the velocity of the air is reduced before the air passes over the hot-wire or through the hot-wire grid. The wire or grid a is mounted on a mica &c. frame b and supported in a ring c to which is secured a stream-line member e into the end of which is fixed a plug f having apertures g. Instead of, or in addition to, the plug f, a screen or screens h of fine mesh, carried by the ring c, may be provided in order to produce the desired decrease in air velocity.
