Abstract

1360113 Handles SCHLEGEL MFG CO 31 May 1972 [21 June 1971] 25420/72 Headings A4G and A4U A strap handle is anchored by a retainer 12 which straddles an end portion of the strap 10, the retainer having a hole overlying the strap through which is passed a fastener 14 which passes through the strap and into the mounting element 11. The retainer has laterally extending fins 15, and an escutcheon plate 16 having slots 17 which receives and slides over the fins is slid into place to cover the retainer. The fins are so shaped, e.g. by having oblique edges, to grip the slots and retain the escutcheon in place. Fastener 14 may be a self-tapping screw or a rivet.
