Abstract

1358880 Reciprocating conveyers K WISSMANN 1 Dec 1971 [18 Dec 1970] 55813/71 Heading B8A A reciprocating assembly of a conveyer for metal chip material or swarf comprises pairs of triangular entraining members 4 secured to the sides of a conveying rod 2 on the top of which fins 7 are mounted. A trough 1 includes wear linings 5 and baffles 8. The spacing 6 between the trailing ends of the entraining members is stated to improve the conveyance of the chip material. In a modification, Figs. 4-6 (not shown), there are two pairs of lateral entraining members (4, 14). The conveying rod preferably has a closed base and may be hollow and have a round or square section.
