Abstract
1358096 Making conductive components BUNKER RAMO CORP 17 Aug 1971 [9 Nov 1970] 38583/71 Heading B3A [Also in Division H2] An electrical connector, e.g. a pin 26 or socket contact 20 is hardened by heat treatment after it has been crimped on a conductor wire 38. A copper conductor wire 38 is inserted in a tubular portion 28 of a beryllium copper socket contact and the portion 28 crimped at four circumferentially spaced areas 40. The socket contact is heat treated at 600 F. for 2 hours to increase its hardness and springiness of its tines 34.
