Abstract

1357830 Gyratory crushers B A R B E RGREENE CO 20 Dec 1972 [27 Dec 1971] 58973/72 Heading B2A A gyratory crusher includes means to rotate the head 30 in a direction opposite to that of the eccentrics 12 and hold the head rotationally stationary relative to the concave 9. As described a hydraulic motor is fixed in a counterbore 13 of the eccentric by a mounting plate 45 and a drive shaft 41 of the motor enters a square hole in a drive plate 43 which is bolted to the head. Driving liquid is supplied via inlet ports 42 from a pressurizer chamber 15, and leaves the motor to lubricate bearings 33, 31 for the head and bearings 49 for the drive-shaft before returning to the reservoir FR at the bottom of the crusher. The eccentric shaft 8 has bearings 10, 10a lubricated via pipes 16, 17. A float switch 50 senses oil level in the reservoir FR.
