The mill cylinder comprises in sequence from bottom to top a mounting seat 42, an air housing 43, a lower housing 4, 4, a middle housing 4, 5, an upper housing 46 and a motor seat frame 47. The pulverizer is a roller-and-ring mill having spiral-surfaced rollers 437 which swing out against the ring 440 under the influence of centrifugal force. The classifier device includes a demountable rotary vane 446 which may be L or T-shaped. A sound-deadening elastic pad 441 is placed between the grinding-ring and the upper wall of the housing 44. The mill may be cooled by water flowing in at 454 and out at 455.
