1357510 Feeding and collating sheets J BOBST & FILS SA 8 Jan 1973 [21 Jan 1972] 943/73 Heading B8R Apparatus for dispensing reinforcing blanks from a magazine 10, Figs. 1, 2 and 4, each on to a box blank, comprises a conveyer for carrying box blanks in succession beneath the magazine, a drive conveyer 1 moving in synchronism with the box blanks in an endless loop having a horizontal upper reach and having drive pins 3 thereon, a dispensing conveyer 29 directly above the drive conveyer having drive blocks 12 adapted to be driven by the pins 3, and means for mounting the magazine above the box blank conveyer, the dispensing conveyer having dispensing fingers 24 to engage the rear edge of the lowermost blank in a pile of reinforcing blanks in the magazine, so as to dispense the lowermost blank on to a box blank as the latter passes beneath the magazine. The conveyer 1 comprises two chains 2 moving in vertical planes. The conveyer 29 comprises two chains 30 moving in inclined planes, each chain comprising links 26, and rollers 27 moving along a path defined by members 31 mounted on a fixed plate 6. The chains 30 are adjustable vertically and horizontally while maintaining engagement between the members 3, 12. Pile supports.-The magazine 10 comprises a front wall adjustable vertically to define a gap at its lower end to allow the passage of the lowermost blank, and horizontally according to blank length, side walls adjustable laterally according to blank width, and angle members 19 supporting the bottom of the pile. The pile is pressed downwards by claws 39 pivoted at 40 and pressed down by pneumatic pistons in cylinders 36, being raised to allow replenishment of the pile.
