1357312 Electrophysical measurement - temperature NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY I OPYTNO-KONSTRUKTORSKY INSTITUT AUTOMATIZATSII CHERNOI METALLURGII NIIACHERMET 12 Jan 1973 1812/73 Heading G1N The invention relates to the electromagnetic measurement of temperature, e.g. of steel section, in a rolling mill by passing it through the magnetic field of a coil which is sufficient to SATURATE it. As shown series connected inductors 1, 2, have secondaries 3, 4 feeding rectifiers 5, 6 connected in series opposition across a potentiometer 17. With a cold sample 20 of appropriate section in coil 2, the potentiometer output U is balanced against a reference voltage U2. Thereafter the reading of meter 19 will vary with the temperature of the sample.
