Abstract
1357276 Endless conveyers P MAGALDI 10 Oct 1972 [22 Oct 1971] 46664/72 Heading B8A An endless wire mesh belt 101, supported at its conveying run by rollers 103, carries materialcarrying elements which abut or overlap one another at the conveying run, some of the elements supporting rollers 104 which engage guides 121 to support the belt 101 at its return run. As shown, the elements are boxes 102 having lips which overlap the preceding box, but may be plates which may have side walls such that the conveying run is a longitudinal trough. The belt 101 comprises transverse flattened coils which either interlink or are interconnected by rods 107 a carrying element being connected to the belt by a bolt, screw, or rivet which engages a plate 106 disposed in a flattened coil. The axle of the driving drum for the belt is supported in a slotted member and is connected to a threaded tie rod provided with a nut for adjusting the belt tension.
