Abstract

1355615 Television THOMSON-CSF 11 April 1972 [13 April 1971] 16712/72 Heading H4F In a television clamping circuit in which the video signal (a), Fig. 2, at the output of detector 3 is sampled during the horizontal blanking periods and the resulting samples (b), after inversion (e), used in a clamping switch 7 and capacitor C 2 , the need for a large negative feedback amplificator factor, with the resulting in- stability, is overcome by extending in means 5 each sample level from when the original sample ceased till the commencement of the original next sample (c). This signal, after integration at 6 provides the clamping reference signal (d).
