Abstract

1355290 Roof hatches HAPPICH GmbH Gebr 22 March 1972 [26 March 1971] 13463/72 Heading B7B A vehicle roof hatch, particularly for a caravan, comprises a die cast cover 1 having an integral resilient latching member 6 which engages a hatch frame 2 when the cover occupies the closed or partly open positions. The member 6 is biased, possibly by springs in a central bore 7, to the vertical position and with the cover closed (Fig. 1, not shown) a lug 10 engages an indent 11 in the frame. In a partly open position a chamfer on the lower side of the lug frictionally engages a chamfer 12 on the frame to support the cover. The hatch is provided with a seal 3 and an adjusting mechanism may be connected via lug 13 to the cover.
