1354866 Crash restraint bags DOW CHEMICAL CO 17 Aug 1972 [19 Aug 1971] 38509/72 Heading B7B [Also in Division C1] A gas-producing composition for inflating an automobile passenger restraint device comprises potassium chlorate, oxamide, and a reaction product of a glycidyl ether of glycerine having 2 to 3 glycidyl groups per molecule with triethylene tetramine or maleic anhydride (see Division C1). Sodium bicarbonate may be used in a separate compartment in the gas generating device to reduce flaming and cool the gases.
