1354420 Isoprene VOLGOGRADSKY POLITEKHNICHESKY INSTITUT 17 May 1971 15255/71 Heading C5E Pure isoprene is obtained by distilling crude isoprene in the absence of added solvent with a minor proportion of o-nitrophenol, e.g. in amount 0À01-1 wt. per cent to prevent polymerization. The o-nitrophenol may be added to the isoprene, which may contain isobutylene, in the form of a solution in pure isoprene.
