Abstract
1353356 Control apparatus-open-end spinning TOYODA JIDOH SHOKKI SEISAKUSHO KK and MEIDENSHA KK 19 April 1971 [8 April 1970] 26512/71 Headings DID and D1F The detection of yarn breakage at any spinning unit 10 (a-n), Fig. 1, of an open-end spinning machine causes a circuit 4 (a-n) of the unit to disconnect the unit from a central normal-running control 1 and to connect the unit either to a central control 2 for control during yarn repair or to a central control 3 to stop the unit to await yarn repair. When a detector 17 (a-n) of a unit detects a yarn breakage it emits a signal B which isolates the unit from control signal A of control 1, and which causes the associated circuit 4 to activate control 2 to emit signal G to control the unit. When the breakage is repaired, a signal H from control, 2 causes the circuit 4 to reconnect the unit to control 1. If a second breakage on a second unit 10 has in the meantime caused a second signal B to be emitted, this second signal will activate control means 3 to emit signal 7 to stop the second unit. The emitting of signal H by control 2 to re-connect the first unit 10 to control 1 also causes the second signal B to activate control 2. In a second embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) the circuits are scanned to detect the existance of a signal B. The detection of such a signal stops the scanning process, and enables the unit to be controlled by control 2. Further units controlled by control 3 are connected by the scanner to control 3 when the first unit has to be re-connected to control 1.
