Abstract

1351345 Cold stores J R KNOX 12 July 1972 [12 July 1971] 32641/71 Heading F4H [Also in Division B6] In order to turn a rigid enclosure into a coldstorage room the walls of the enclosure are lined with a continuous vapour-sealing layer composed of flexible sheet material having coatings of pressure-sensitive adhesive on both surfaces thereof, a heat-insulating layer formed of an assembly of slabs of heat-insulating material being adhered to the inner coating of the vapour sealing layer. A further layer of the flexible sheet material may be adhered to the inner surface of the heat-insulating slabs in order that a decorative finish such as tiles may be applied. The sheets for example are polyvinylidene chloride copolymer, high density polythene, polypropylene and aluminium foil.
