1351316 Pigmented granular silicone elastomer compositions WACKER-CHEMIE GmbH 24 Nov 1971 [4 Dec 1970] 54594/71 Heading C3T An organopolysiloxane composition heatcurable to give elastomers comprises uncoloured granules of polysiloxane composition mixed with dry powdered pigment. The granules may be of conventional elastomer-forming polysiloxane compositions; suitable pigments include black, brown and red iron oxides, TiO 2 , cobalt oxide, cadmium yellow, and phthalocyanine green and blue. In Examples tubular granules comprising polydimethylsiloxane containing 0À1 to 0À5 mol. per cent methylvinylsiloxane units and of viscosity 2 x 10<SP>7</SP> cS/25‹ C., a pyrogenic silica, a polydimethylsiloxane diol of viscosity 287 cS/25‹ C. (or polydimethylsiloxane-diphenylsiloxane diol of 500 cS/25‹ C.), and dichlorabenzoyl peroxide or dicumyl peroxide, dusted with talc, are mixed with a blue cobalt oxide/TiO 2 mixture or a phthalocyanine green/cadmium yellow/TiO 2 mixture, then extruded on to an electrical cable.
